Valerie Lambert has found her niche, spending a lifetime in Annual Giving fund raising.

Having worked with non-profit groups running the gamut from grass roots levels through mid-sized and larger scale, Valerie’s experience in online giving, social media and direct mail has been incorporated in marketing locally, as well as domestically and internationally. Additionally, her expertise extends into phonathons, special events and volunteer management, as well as database management and statistical analysis.

A broad tapestry of education and experience – including some engineering studies – lends an added core of expertise to Valerie’s computer and statistical analysis skills . . . a much needed asset when compiling and reviewing fund raising data. She has worked for a variety of health, service, activist and educational organizations, which, when coupled with her methodical techniques, has resulted in multiple effective campaigns.

Valerie has a long history of working with her local AFP chapter and directing its Annual Giving Roundtable. Her insight and successful use of social media catapulted this monthly face-to-face group into new areas of networking and increased its online membership by the dozens.

Valerie’s online and social media expertise has been sought by many fund raising and marketing organizations who have invited her to be a speaker at their professional conferences, including:

International Association of Fund Raising Professionals (AFP)
Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE)
Postal Customer Council (PCC)
Public Relations Society of America (PRSA)
Various state and local chapters of AFP

Numerous articles written by/about Valerie have been published on her methodologies, including Advancing Philanthropy, AFP eWire, The NonProfit Times, Successful Fundraising and The Chronicle of Philanthropy.

She has also won fundraising awards for her campaigns, including the 2011 CASE District II Accolades Award for E-Solicitation (bronze) and the 2009 Gold Awards for Fundraising Excellence, Multichannel Category (bronze).

In a nostalgic look back at her first official position in fund raising, Valerie watched her daughter continue the fund raising tradition of becoming the Top Cookie seller in her troop each year as she volunteered to be troop cookie manager . . . for all seven years. Valerie considers her daughter’s success to be a testament to her skill as not only a proficient fund raiser, but a trainer as well.
